Driver onboarding

Complete the application and upload required documents. Required even if you drove with us before.

Vehicle inspection

Submit live photos of your vehicle — six angles. Both steps required for review.

NYC TLC baseline

—Age 19 or older
—Valid NYS DMV Class A, B, C, or E (chauffeur) license
—Valid NYC TLC For-Hire Driver License (active — not expired)
—Valid Social Security Number
—No more than 5 DMV points in the last 15 months
—No outstanding fines or fees owed to NYC TLC or NYS DMV
—24-hour TLC Driver Education Course completed
—TLC Driver License exam passed

Vehicle standards

—Black or dark exterior only — white vehicles not accepted
—Damage-free: no scratches, dents, cracked glass, or broken mirrors
—Clean, detailed, and presentation-ready at inspection
—Luxury sedan, SUV, or Sprinter class (2018 or newer preferred)
—Full suit or professional business attire required on assignment

Documents (step 1)

· Driver headshot (selfie or passport-style, recent)
· NYS DMV license — front (clear, in-date)
· NYC TLC driver license — front & back
· Proof of work authorization (US passport, green card, EAD, or birth certificate — one)
· Defensive Driving Course certificate (if completed within 3 years)
· TLC medical certification (if not already on TLC UP)
