TLC baseline

  • · Age 19 or older
  • · Valid NYS DMV Class A, B, C, or E (chauffeur) license
  • · Valid NYC TLC For-Hire Driver License (active — not expired)
  • · Valid Social Security Number
  • · No more than 5 DMV points in the last 15 months
  • · No outstanding fines or fees owed to NYC TLC or NYS DMV

Vehicle

  • · Black or dark exterior only — white vehicles not accepted
  • · Damage-free: no scratches, dents, cracked glass, or broken mirrors
  • · Clean, detailed, and presentation-ready at inspection
  • · Luxury sedan, SUV, or Sprinter class (2018 or newer preferred)

Documents (step 1)

  • · Driver headshot (selfie or passport-style, recent)
  • · NYS DMV license — front (clear, in-date)
  • · NYC TLC driver license — front & back
  • · Proof of work authorization (US passport, green card, EAD, or birth certificate — one)
  • · Defensive Driving Course certificate (if completed within 3 years)
